Yajurveda-8

पृथि॒वी वे॑त्तु।

May the earth recognise thee

अधि॒षव॑णमसि वानस्प॒त्यं प्रति॒ त्वाऽदि॑त्या॒स्त्वग्वे॑त्तु।

Thou art the plank of wood, may the skin of Aditi recognise thee.

अ॒ग्नेस्त॒नूर॑सि वा॒चो वि॒सर्जनम्

Thou art the body of Agni, loostner of speech

दे॒ववी॑तयेत्वा गृह्णा॒मि।

I grasp thee for the joy of the Gods

अद्रि॑रसि वानस्पत्यः

Thou art the stone of wood

स इ॒दं दे॒वेभ्यो॑ ह॒व्य

Do thou wuth good labour elaborate this offering of the Gods.

इष॒मा व॒दोर्ज॒मा व॑द

Utter food, utter strength

द्यु॒मद्व॑दत

Make ye glorious sounds

व॒य संघा॒तं जे॑ष्म

May we be victorious in contest

व॒र्षवृद्धमसि॒

Thou art increased by the rain

प्रति॑ त्वा व॒र्षवृ॑द्धं वेत्तु॒

May that which is increased by the rain recognise thee.

परा॑पूत॒ रक्षः॒ परा॑पूता॒ अरा॑तयः॒।

The raksas is cleared away, the evil spirits are cleared away.

रक्ष॑सां भा॒गो॑ ऽसि

Thou art the share of the raksases

वा॒युर्वो॒ वि वि॑नक्तु

Let the wind separate you

दे॒वो वः॑ सवि॒ता हिर॑ण्यपाणिः॒ प्रति॑ गृह्णातु॥

Let the God Savitr of golden hands, seize you.
