Yajurveda - 5

[[1-1-4-1]]

कर्म॑णे वां दे॒वेभ्यः॑ शकेय॒म्

For the rite you two, for the Gods may I be strong.

वेषा॑य त्वा

Thee for accomplishment!

प्रत्यु॑ष्ट॒ रक्षः॒ प्रत्यु॑ष्टा॒ अरा॑तयः॒।

The Raksas is burnt up, the evil spirits are burnt up.

धूर॑सि॒

Thou art the yoke

धूर्व॒ धूर्व॑न्त॒म् तं यो॑ ऽस्मान् धर्व॑ति॒ तं धू॑र्व॒ यं व॒यं धूर्वा॑मः

Injure him who injures us,Injure him whom we injure

त्वं दे॒वाना॑मसि॒ सस्नि॑तमं॒ पप्रि॑तमं॒ जुष्ट॑तमं॒ वह्नि॑तमंदेव॒हूतम॒म्

Thou art of Gods the most firmly jointed, the most richly filled, the most agreeable, the best of carriers, The best caller of the Gods,

अहु॑तमसि हवि॒र्धान॒म्।

Thou art the oblation-holder that wavers not.

दृह॑स्व॒ मा ह्वाः॒।

Be firm, waver not

मि॒त्रस्य॑ त्वा॒ चक्षु॑षा॒ प्रेक्षे॒

I gaze on thee with the eye of Mitra

मा भेर्मा सं वि॑क्था॒ मा त्वा॑॥

Be not afraid, Let me harm thee not.
